🧩Work Package 6 (WP6): Dissemination, Communication and Exploitation of Results

Work Package 6 (WP6) leads the dissemination, communication, stakeholder engagement, and exploitation activities of the ACT-CHIK project. The work package ensures that project knowledge, scientific discoveries, and research outputs are communicated effectively to diverse audiences throughout the project lifecycle and beyond.

WP6 promotes transparency, public awareness, and stakeholder participation while supporting the translation of research findings into policy, practice, vaccine manufacturing, and public health impact. Through strategic communication and community engagement, the work package strengthens public trust in research and facilitates the uptake of project outcomes across Africa and globally.

Why This Work Package Matters

Scientific discoveries achieve their greatest value when they are effectively communicated and translated into action. WP6 ensures that the knowledge generated through ACT-CHIK reaches researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, communities, and the wider public in accessible and meaningful ways.

By combining strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability planning, WP6 helps transform research into public health impact. It strengthens trust in science, supports evidence-informed decision-making, and promotes the long-term adoption of innovations that can improve preparedness for chikungunya and other emerging infectious diseases. This work package also reinforces the project’s commitment to equitable access, African vaccine manufacturing, and lasting benefits for populations across the continent.
